Route description

This Berdsk section of the Great Ob Trail leads from Polyana into the woodland of the Berdsk Woodland Nature Monument and towards the town’s northern sanatorium neighbourhood. The Ob Sea remains close to the beginning: a waterside descent follows Polyana, before the path continues through woodland and eventually reaches residential streets. The appeal is this gradual change from shoreline recreation to a quiet forest walk and back to urban Berdsk. A separate approach runs from the bus stop by Sibiryak Sanatorium to Polyana. Choose it to explore the southern side. The main walk begins at Polyana and ends near Berdskiy Sanatoriy; plan the return from there to Sibiryak separately. The woodland itself is the main reason to come. Allow time to walk slowly among the trees and pause by the shore if the descent is usable. Sanatorium programmes and recreation facilities nearby can be added separately under their own visiting arrangements.

Nearby

Sibiryak Sanatorium stands by the southern approach; its treatment and recreation programmes are outside the walk. Green Island recreation park, Kristall sports centre and Stary Berdsk Beach lie on the northern side. Visiting them requires a separate approach and an access check. Yubileyny children’s camp is also outside the public walking outing.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The separate southern approach begins at Sibiryak Sanatorium bus stop. Check operating services and return times before travelling. The main walk starts at Polyana, which requires an additional approach. Arrange transport or collection from the northern finish near Berdskiy Sanatoriy; a ready return walk to Sibiryak is not included.
By car
For the southern approach, choose a permitted roadside drop-off near Sibiryak Sanatorium. Entry to the sanatorium grounds requires separate arrangements. The main start at Polyana is on the woodland side, and driving directly to it is unconfirmed. Arrange collection from a permitted street location near the northern finish.
Parking
Parking is mapped on the northern street section. Check access, charges and permission for a longer stay locally. This is a northern-section parking reference, rather than confirmed parking at Polyana or the start by Sibiryak. Arrange any use of sanatorium parking with its operator.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 53 м.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски Woodland ground and sandy paths eventually give way to urban driveways. After rain, use footwear that grips wet ground. Assess the waterside slope before descending; built steps and safe swimming conditions are unconfirmed. Follow the nature monument’s current visiting rules and local signs. Do not rely on driving through the woodland. With children, choose a manageable section and arrange a return in advance.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 2 h 49 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Allow separately for your chosen approach, the main woodland walk and the return. The Sibiryak-to-Polyana approach can be an outing in its own right; the main walk leads north from Polyana towards Berdsk’s sanatorium neighbourhood. A verified overall duration is unavailable. Do not treat the return from the northern finish to the southern start as a supplied continuation.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Dry weather from spring to autumn suits the woodland and shoreline approaches. Ground conditions matter particularly after rain and during snowmelt. The water’s edge can feel cooler and windier than the woodland. Winter clearance and preparation throughout are unconfirmed.
