Route description

From Rechkunovka, the Great Ob Trail leads through settlement streets and woodland paths towards Duck Lake in Akademgorodok. The outing gradually changes its mood: railway surroundings give way to Poselok Novyi and Beregovaya, followed by a green continuation through the botanical woodland. The named place Ef and Krugloye stands beside the path, and the Zyryanka appears near the ascent. The final pause lies beside a small lake on the Zolotodolinskaya side. Slow down and look across the water from the bank. Entering the ice and swimming are outside this outing. Inspect wooden waterside passages before using them. Establish permitted pedestrian connections towards the finish beforehand: some driveways have restricted access. Use operating railway crossings only. With approaches agreed, the walk reveals settlements, woodland and a small river valley between Berdsk and Akademgorodok. Plan the return journey from the lake separately.

The Museum of the History of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in Academician Lavrentyev’s former cottage, stands away from this finish. Plan its approach and visit separately. The Central Siberian Botanical Garden’s arboretum, greenhouses and exhibitions also have separate admission and booking conditions. Botanical woodland does not include every garden collection. Duck encounters at the lake depend on circumstances.

The start lies beside Rechkunovka halt. Beregovaya halt and the mapped Poselok Novyi bus stop stand along the intermediate course. Check operating services, the boarding side and permitted railway crossings. These places do not provide return arrangements from Duck Lake: choose those and the separate walk to your boarding point beforehand.
By car
Arrange a permitted drop-off on the Rechkunovka side of the railway. An exact vehicle approach and parking beside the start are unestablished. Settlement driveways and botanical woodland entrances have their own conditions. Arrange collection on a permitted street near the lake finish beforehand.
Parking
