Route description

The woodland loop west of Pirogova Street introduces Fox Hills, a green landscape in Novosibirsk’s Akademgorodok. Start on the northern side, follow paths between trees and return to the same woodland entrance. The outing leaves city streets for a while while remaining near the university side. Local terrain is associated with old sand dunes. Woodland surroundings change between gentle rises and hollows, and this path includes pine areas. Look closely at the trees, notice trunk shapes and choose a calm pace. This is a walking version of the woodland loop. The mapped name Ski Trail does not establish a prepared winter course or lighting. With established snow, consider passing skiers and find out current rules. For an ordinary walk, choose a dry day, arrange a separate street approach and allow an unhurried return.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Yunost Cultural Centre stop is mapped on the loop’s northern side, and NSU Dormitory stop on the Pirogova side. Both lie outside this course and need separate permitted approaches. Check operating services and the boarding side before leaving. The northern start and return coincide, allowing your chosen street approach to serve the finish.
By car
Agree arrival and drop-off on Akademgorodok’s urban side. The northern start lies in woodland, without a verified vehicle entrance. Continue on foot by your chosen approach. Hospital and university driveways have their own purposes; establish use separately.
Parking
A separate parking area is mapped on the Pirogova side. It is marked as publicly accessible without a fee, but current conditions, spaces and a long stay are unverified. Plan the walk from it to the loop separately. The woodland start is not parking.

Расчётное время в пути 1 h 29 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Plan the loop with a return to the northern woodland start, adding the stop or parking approach separately. A verified full duration is unavailable. Spread brief pauses through the woodland. Building interiors, museum rooms and street murals need a separate time plan.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
A dry day from spring to autumn better suits the walking loop. Check ground conditions after rain and snowmelt. Choose daylight in autumn. Winter visits depend on current conditions and ski-trail use; its name does not promise clearance, preparation or lighting.
