Route description

From Rechkunovka, this Great Ob Trail section crosses the Berd River towards Berdsk’s residential streets and the Metelitsa area. The footbridge is its most memorable moment. Pause here to take in the water: it gives the town a sense of space that is not yet apparent from the railway platform. Farther on, shoreline places give way to streets and the woodland side of the sports base. Plan around changes on the waterfront. Demolition was under way at the former Remix park in June 2026, and unrestricted passage throughout this section is currently unconfirmed. Establish the condition of the shore section and permitted connections before travelling. Once passage is confirmed, the interest lies in the changing surroundings: railway-side Rechkunovka, the open Berd River, urban neighbourhoods and woodland near Metelitsa. At the finish, the sports base’s activities can be a separate addition if available that day.

Metelitsa is an operating sports complex with seasonal activities and equipment hire; arrange and pay for services separately. Royal Marine yacht club lies near the river section, but entry is outside this walk. The former Remix park should not be chosen as an operating recreation facility; proposed waterfront improvements need separate confirmation.

Without a car
The start is beside Rechkunovka railway halt. Check suburban train times and the permitted platform exit. Lesnaya Skazka bus stop serves the final urban section; the walk continues beyond it towards Metelitsa. Choose your return service and approach to the stop beforehand.
By car
Arrange collection at a permitted road location near Metelitsa, whose address is 2G Lenina Street. Establish a safe drop-off separately near Rechkunovka. The shore and pedestrian section is not a driving route. Arrange access to service grounds and areas affected by works with the responsible operators.
Parking
Parking areas are mapped near the Metelitsa finish. Ask the base about operation, fees and longer stays: arrangements can be seasonal. Start-side railway parking is unverified. Former Remix parking should not be treated as a guaranteed place to leave a vehicle.
