Route description

The Kaindy climbs out of the Isfayram-Say system towards a pass above the Tengizbay valley. Following its namesake tributary, the route gradually leaves the main valley for stony headwaters. Beyond the saddle, the Tengizbay reveals a new direction for a longer Alay journey. The attraction is the continuity of the mountain crossing: a river leads towards its source, then a saddle opens the neighbouring catchment. Plan an overnight stay and weather reserves. A well-prepared group can give the Kaindy valley proper attention and approach the pass day without rushing the descent.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - No With a dog - No data By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data Kaindy is a remote high mountain crossing for an experienced, acclimatised group. It is unsuitable for children, bicycles and strollers. Confirm dog permission and protected-area rules separately.

Nearby

The upper Tengizbay connects the Kaindy approach with a possible continuation over Artala. Combining them requires additional time. Agree protected-area visits and overnight stays beforehand, without assuming staffed services in the headwaters.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
